Citation Formats

This tool provides citation formats for various media and social media sources in the Chicago/Turabian Notes and Bibliography (NB) system. Select a platform tab and a citation type (Full Note, Shortened Note, or Bibliography Entry) to view the format, description, and examples. Social media content is dynamic and sometimes ephemeral, so include key details like author, date, and URL to ensure retrievability.

• Private Accounts: Do not cite posts from private social media accounts, as they are not publicly accessible.
• Edited Posts: If a post has been edited, cite the most recent version. There is no need to note that it has been edited.
